Established in 1990, Wales Wildlife and Countryside Link was principally set up to help different environmental organisations, sometimes with competing objectives, to meet regularly and share news and views on matters affecting the Welsh environment.

Since then the organisation has evolved, changing name and focus to Wales Environment Link in 2002, and developing into a network of organisations with very different interests, needs and problems. Some of our members are household names, others less well known but equally important in safeguarding and improving the management of the environment of Wales.

Wales Environment Link has grown over the years and now has a large membership of 28 diverse environmental, wildlife and countryside organisations.
